At Graphyti, our goal is to create an environment where people can share ideas, communicate openly, and build communities while keeping the platform safe and respectful. Moderation helps balance freedom of expression with the need to reduce harmful or unlawful content.
Graphyti encourages open discussion and diverse viewpoints. We do not remove content simply because it is unpopular or controversial. However, content that violates our policies, applicable laws, or poses a risk to users or the platform may be subject to moderation. Our moderation decisions aim to be fair, consistent, and proportionate.
Content may be reviewed through one or more of the following methods:
Not every report results in action. Reports are evaluated based on the available information and our policies.
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, Graphyti may:
Moderation actions may apply to individual posts, comments, media, profiles, or accounts.
Graphyti may take action against content involving spam or coordinated manipulation, harassment, hate speech, threats or incitement to violence, graphic or excessively violent content, child sexual exploitation or abuse, terrorist or extremist content, fraud or impersonation, malware or phishing, copyright infringement, non-consensual intimate imagery, illegal goods or services, or other content prohibited by applicable law. This list is not exhaustive - see our Content Policy for more detail.
Some content may remain available but receive reduced visibility or a warning label if it contains graphic imagery, violent scenes, sensitive medical content, disturbing images, or adult-oriented material where permitted. Users may have options to control whether sensitive content is displayed to them.
Users are encouraged to report content they believe violates our policies. Reports should be made in good faith and include sufficient information whenever possible. Submitting false or abusive reports may itself violate Graphyti's policies.
If you believe a moderation action was taken in error, you may request a review through the available appeal process. Appeals are reviewed based on the information provided, the original content, and applicable policies. Submitting an appeal does not guarantee that a decision will be reversed.
Graphyti may use automated technologies to identify spam, fake engagement, suspicious account activity, malware, duplicate or abusive posting patterns, and certain policy violations. Automated systems assist moderation but do not replace human judgment in all cases.
Accounts that repeatedly violate Graphyti's policies may face progressively stronger enforcement, including temporary restrictions, longer suspensions, and permanent account removal. The severity of enforcement depends on the frequency, seriousness, and impact of the violations.
The table below illustrates possible outcomes for common violations. Every case is still evaluated individually; actions are not strictly automatic.
| Violation | Possible Action |
|---|---|
| Spam or fake engagement | Warning, reduced visibility, temporary restriction, suspension |
| Harassment or bullying | Content removal, temporary restriction, suspension |
| Hate speech | Content removal, suspension, permanent account termination |
| Threats or incitement to violence | Immediate removal, suspension, referral to authorities where required |
| Impersonation | Account restriction, profile changes, suspension |
| Copyright infringement | Content removal, repeat-infringer enforcement |
| Malicious links or malware | Immediate removal, account suspension |
| Child safety violations | Immediate removal, permanent termination, reporting where required by law |
| Fraud and scams | Content removal, account suspension or termination |
| Repeated policy violations | Escalating enforcement up to permanent account termination |
Where appropriate, we may notify users when a moderation action affects their content or account. In some situations we may be unable to provide advance notice or detailed explanations, including where doing so could compromise investigations, enable abuse of the platform, conflict with legal obligations, or affect user safety. Graphyti may comply with valid legal requests, court orders, or other lawful obligations, and may remove or restrict content to comply with applicable laws.
Graphyti may update this Moderation policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, community standards, or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available on this page.
